The auditing firm Nexia Audit Advice appoints three new partners as the company’s Council members

The firm of sworn auditors Nexia Audit Advice, one of the leading auditing and consulting firms on the Latvian market, announced new appointments. Svetlana Semele-Baikova, Olga Molchanova and Kristine Jansone joined the Council of Nexia Audit Advice, created within transformation of the firm into a joint-stock company (JSC). The firm’s Council will likely commence its operation in September 2021.

Svetlana Semele-Baikova, the chair of the Council of Nexia Audit Advice, holds the position of the responsible sworn auditor as well as the certified tax consultant. Svetlana also has the certificate of professional accountant of the Association of Accountants of the Republic of Latvia. Svetlana has a 10 year experience in the fields of auditing, consulting in tax and accounting matters.

Svetlana has extensive experience in conducting the audits of leading companies, that are recognized as leaders in their industries, as well as the firms that are of public interest.

Svetlana graduated the University of Latvia with a Master’s degree in Economics – Mg.Soc. She is also a leading specialist in development of original seminars and courses that provide continuous education to accountants and auditors, as well as development of methodologies for the preparation of accounting policies and compilation of financial reports.

Olga Molchanova, the deputy chair of the Council of Nexia Audi Advice, holds the position of the Coordinating Partner of partnership programs, Head of the department of economic research and management consulting, Contact Partner of Nexia International.

Olga has a 12 year experience as a senior audit manager; she specialises in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs), IFRS financial reporting (individual/consolidated), audit of financial statements of complex groups and public interest entities (PIEs).

Olga is also First North adviser and guides companies through the application process to the Nasdaq Baltic alternative market First North and ensures that the companies fulfill all the requirements of First North on a continuing basis.

Olga has a Master’s degree in economics – Mg.soc., which she received after the graduation from Riga Technical University. Olga is an ACCA - Chartered Certified Accountant and member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). ACCA is the leading global body for professional accountants. Olga also has the certificate of professional accountant of the Association of Accountants of the Republic of Latvia.

Kristine Jansone, the Council member is the senior manager of audit projects of the office “Kapitāls” Nexia Audit Advice, situated in Liepaja. She works in the firm since its foundation. Kristine holds a Master’s degree in Economics as well as the certificate of professional accountant of the Association of Accountants of the Republic of Latvia and the certificate of internal auditor.

Kristine works with the key clients of Nexia Audit Advice, represented in the Kurzeme region – both private and public sector entities.
