August 4, 2020, the seminar "Specific issues of Audit of Public-Interest Entities" will be held in order to improve the professional knowledge of sworn auditors and representatives of sworn auditors' companies on the application of Regulation (EU) No. 537/2014 on specific requirements for statutory audits of public-interest entities.

August 4, 2020, the seminar will be organized in LZRA Education Center study premises at 15-6 Pulkveža Brieža Street, Riga, as well as it will be possible to participate in the on-line ZOOM platform.. The following lecturers will review and present specific issues of audit of public-interest entities: Andrejs Ponomarjovs, Chairman of the Board at SIA "Nexia Audit Advice"; Svetlana Šemele-Baikova, sworn auditor, associate partner at SIA "Nexia Audit Advice", member of the Education Committee of the LACA; Olga Molčanova, ACCA, SIA "Nexia Audit Advice" coordinating partner, LRGA board member.

The following topics will be discussed during the seminar: public interest-entities (PIEs) in Latvia and other EU countries, their status and types; communication with the client; insight into the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF).
